Hi, I’m Ernest Luk. I live in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. I have over 10 years experience in information technology, e-business and sales & marketing with multi-national companies in Hong Kong and Asia. I worked for companies like Motorola, CompuServe and International Data Group (IDG) in Hong Kong and Asia. I headed IDG Hong Kong’s IT and online department and responsible for the online business and operation. I built a multilingual web based online content management system (CMS) for Computerworld Hong Kong and PC World Hong Kong.

I have founded an e-business consulting company in Hong Kong and helped my clients to market and grow online business to over a million dollar in annual revenues in a year, which I assisted clients to formulate and executed strategic business plans. The online promotional channels include eBay, Amazon, Shopping.com, Shopzilla/Bizrate, Google and Yahoo!.

In addition to my business skills, I’m also very strong in technical skills ranging from networking, systems to application development. I write codes in PHP, ASP.net, HTML, JavaScript, Java,VB etc. I manage servers like Apache, IIS Servers, Windows Servers, Email servers, Fax Servers, etc. I like open source, thus, I work a lot  on it. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Open University of Hong Kong and a master’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Leeds, UK. I speak fluent English, Chinese, Cantonese and Mandarin. I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA). I am a member of IEEE and Association of Internet Marketing & Sales (AIMS).
